Hi...I've decided to do a small STAR WARS Wargame Project- tonight I ordered the West End RULES.
West End Games went out of production in 1997- to which I'm very lucky to be able to order a set of rules in good condition.
I've also ordered some 25mm STAR WARS figures - 9 Rebels and 9 Stormtroopers.
I hope to add more figures when my funds have grown.
As you can imagine buying out of production items can be very expensive.
Well that is my news on my STAR WARS Project.
Cheers. KEV.
Wow, it's hard to keep up with all your projects, Kev! Star Wars is quite popular with a lot of wargamers at the moment...good luck with your latest adventure!
ReplyDeleteKIETH- Yes, STAR WARS is very popular for wargamers- I should have been doing this project ages ago though I didn't know where to obtain the 25mm figures- given that- buying from wBay can be awfully expensive. Cheers. KEV.
DeleteLooking forward to seeing some models on the table. I'm surprised you've gone for a published set of rules, having seen you create your own rules for projects like Dr Who. Hope you have fun with them
ReplyDeleteDAVE- Yes, I think the STAR WARS rules will be most useful and a break from writing my own rules. It'll be awhile before I have any miniatures- about a month away to set up the games table. Cheers. KEV.
DeleteAs a Star Wars kid from the 1970s, i would have loved these figures - I look forward to seeing how these work out - although I had great fun with and still have my original Action Figures.
ReplyDeleteMARK- Yes, a lot of collectors have the Action Figures- I'm happy to be able to buy the 25mm metal West End figures- pity they went out of production in 1997. Cheers. KEV.
