NEW Project- The MORO War of 1898.

I've decided to do the Moro War in 15mm using the Armchair General figures from the US.

The Americans.
I really like these 15mm figures- they have a certain charm.
I've ordered ten packets of figures with Spanish, Philipeno, Americans and some Artillery.
The order should take about three weeks to arrive here from the US.

A Spanish- American 15mm game in progress.

The American Troops.

I'm very much looking forward to doing this project.

Best Wishes. KEV.

    1. KIETH- Yes, I was looking around for a 15mm project and remembering the Armchair General I decided to go ahead with this project- it'll take awhile to receive the figures from the US. KEV.

  2. Very nice. I’m in the UK and have also considered gaming the Moro war, but I’ve been put off by the international shipping costs ☹️ What rules do you intend to use?
    Cheers,

    1. GEOFF- Yes, international postage is expensive - though worse is the waiting time for packages to arrive. I'm thinking of using an ACW set of rules named 'On To Richmond' which were produced in the early 1980s. Cheers. KEV.

  3. Kev,

That’s a very interesting new project and I like the look of the figures you have chosen.

I used the ‘On To Richmond’ rules back in the1980s and thought that they were excellent. I’ll be interested to see how you adapt them for the Moro War.

    All the best,

    Bob

    1. BOB,
Glad you like the look of the 15mm Armchair General's figures. Yes, the 'On To Richmond' ACW rules should adapt to game the 1898 Moro War....OTR rules are very straight forward and easy to use and I'm very familiar with them. Cheers. KEV.

    1. Hi TONY- glad your going to follow this project on the 1898 Moro War. The ordered figures will take longer than first thought -seems most of what was ordered were out of stock...I'm thinking maybe three weeks before I can paint any figures. Cheers.KEV.
